BMW North America Widens Electric Vehicle Charging Network Across the U.S.
BMW North America on Tuesday said it would expand its electric vehicle (EV) charging service, ChargeForward, to 48 states in the U.S., increasing its footprint in the electric mobility sector.
Drivers of BMW electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid models produced post-2018 can earn cash incentives by allowing ChargeForward’s telematics system to manage vehicle charging during periods of reduced grid strain.
The New Jersey-based company collaborates with utilities such as PG&E in California and Duke Energy in North Carolina. Additionally, it plans to provide access to Tesla’s supercharger network for U.S. and Canadian customers by 2025, aiming to broaden charging alternatives amid a challenging electric vehicle market.
