Netflix’s New Pokémon Animation Announced: Introducing Pokémon Concierge

Pokémon Concierge, Netflix’s new animated series set in the Pokémon universe, has been announced with a short trailer. The animation will be about the adventures of the main characters after Ash and Pikachu in a “Pokémon hotel”.

Designed as a game for GameBoy by Satoshi Tajiri in 1996, Pokémon has grown into one of the biggest entertainment brands in the world, with games and anime over the years. In addition to the adventures of Ash and Pikachu, many games and spin-offs have been prepared about the adventures of dozens of different Pokémon in the Pokémon universe.

Netflix announced today that they are working on a new stop-motion animated series set in the Pokémon universe. Moreover, the first trailer for this animation called Pokémon Concierge has been released.

Just like in the movie Detective Pikachu, Pokémon Concierge is about the world outside of Pokémon wars. If you remember, we clearly saw in the Detective Pikachu movie that there is a world where Pokémon live freely, apart from the “Pokémon wars” including Ash and Pikachu.

Netflix’s new animation, on the other hand, focuses on a hotel where Pokémon are guests and is preparing to offer a quieter viewing pleasure away from the action to the fans of the series.
