Taylor Swift gifted a “22” hat to Bianka, Kobe Bryant’s daughter, during her Los Angeles show
During her “Eras Tour” stop in Los Angeles on August 3rd, Taylor Swift had a remarkable VIP moment. After singing “22,” she knelt by the stage and gave her black fedora to 6-year-old Bianka Bryant, the daughter of the late basketball icon Kobe Bryant. Taylor Swift often invites special guests to her shows, but this interaction was especially touching and memorable.
Taylor Swift is known for giving away her famed “22” hat at her shows. In 2015, during one of her concerts, Kobe Bryant, the legendary Laker, presented Taylor Swift with a banner to honor her achievement of having the most sold-out shows in Staples Center history. It was a significant and special moment between the two.
Before the Thursday show, Vanessa, Kobe Bryant’s wife, shared a photo of her outfit featuring a jean jacket with a picture of Taylor Swift and Kobe from a moment in 2015. The front read “say you’ll remember me,” a nod to Swift’s hit “Wildest Dreams.”
Kobe tragically passed away in January 2020, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, in a helicopter crash in Calabasas. Many believe that Bianka, another one of Kobe’s daughters, deserves to have her pop star dreams come true.
Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” has upcoming dates, including a newly announced leg of 2024 North American shows. Registration for a Ticketmaster Verified Fan pre-sale is currently ongoing until August 5th. General ticket sales will start on Wednesday, August 9th through Ticketmaster.
