Bay Area Median Home Prices Near Record Highs as They Continue to Climb

San Mateo County is experiencing a significant rise in home prices, contributing to the overall increase despite high interest rates. In May, the median home price in San Mateo was $2.4 million, which represents a $250,000 increase from April and a $325,000 rise compared to the same period last year.

Santa Clara County is the other county with a median home price exceeding $2 million. In May, the median price there was $2.1 million, showing a $100,000 increase from the previous month and a $312,000 rise from the previous year.
